Yesterday I got the new distro of suse linux. They postman / postalservice person chucked it outside my door. Glad noone stole it!
I managed to install it after a little bit of yelling at the computer, and it is running smoothly now,
I am quite excided about it, it's nice and glossy and there's lots of useful or improved stuff. Admittedly mostly geeky stuff, like various editors for programming.
What I like about linux is, that once you've installed it you haven't just got a basic operating system, like you do with windows, but you've already got tons of useful programs readily installed, and when you know what to look out for, there are tons more on the installation cds.
I don't have the time to explore everything right now, though.
All for 49.90 euro. (you can download for free, too, though, but then you won't get the two massive manuals to kill someone with). I got the professional edition this time, because as a student I am entitled to get it for the same price as the personal edition.
